183C Coolmore Stud Blackbeard Tipperary StksThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong involving Big Negotiator (GB), ridden by W.J. Lee and Matriarchal, ridden by R.P. Cleary, where it appeared contact was made. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.J. Lee stated that his mount was carried across the track by the horse on his inside. R.P. Cleary stated that his filly tired in the final furlong which caused her to become unbalanced and hang left into the path of Big Negotiator (GB). Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
W.J. Lee, rider of Big Negotiator (GB), trained by P. Twomey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was taken significantly left across the track.
183D Lawlor's Of Naas Apprentice HcapR. Donaghue-Leahy, rider of Jordan Breeze, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that she gave her mount one strike down the shoulder, using the forehand, for preventative measures. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that A. Browne-Souza, rider of Billboa (GB), weighed in at 1.2lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who apologised and stated that he had lost the weight in a short amount of time which left him feeling dehydrated, that he had then taken a drink after weighing out which then resulted in the overweight. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that A. Browne-Souza was in breach of Rule 231.(iii) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they cautioned him on this occasion.
Jessica O'Gorman, rider of Phil's Dream, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount was restless in the stalls.
183E Irish EBF Pat Smullen StakesD.P. McDonogh, rider of Wo Wo Never, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right all the way up the straight and used his whip for corrective measures as his mount was hanging right.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.P. McDonogh, rider of Wo Wo Never, concerning his use of the whip in the home straight of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation, however he stated that the bit had gone through the horses mouth and that two strikes were for corrective measures. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D.P. McDonogh was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for two racedays.
183F Care At Home H'capG.M. Ryan, rider of Swift Charm, trained by W.R. Crawford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
D. Browne McMonagle, rider of Rodeo Blues, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount dived across the track and had a good look when she hit the front.
183G TRM Stay Cool Stay Sound Rated RaceThe Raceday Stewards interviewed D. Browne McMonagle, rider of Yaupon De Replay (USA), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D. Browne McMonagle was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for two racedays.
183H Naas Racecourse (Fillies) M'dnAt the request of the Raceday Stewards, W.J. Lee, rider of Serendipia, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that after a slow early gallop, his filly became outpaced early in the home straight and kept on.
